(More customer reviews)The output on this Nite Ize 1 watt bulb is equal to or even brighter than the stock incandescent bulb. I installed this in my 8 year old 3D Maglite and it has brought new life to the flashlight. The incandescent bulb would go through a set of batteries in roughly 6 hours (useful beam for ~2 hrs). This bulb puts out light that is consistent and lasts for ~26 hours and shuts off around 28 hours runtime.
I choose this led bulb over the ones offered by Maglite because this one does not suffer from output reduction due to thermal throttling after the first 10 minutes of leaving the light on. The Maglite led bulbs are 3 watts so if you use your light in short bursts instead of steady on, then that might be a better fit for you.
Overall, this bulb is a no-brainer buy if you use your incandescent Mag regularly, or want to again after letting it collect dust in favor of more battery friendly lights. This bulb will honestly pay for itself in just 1 set of batteries over the incandescent bulb.
