Super quick shipping by Amazon delivered via Ontrac. The light works and is very bright. It has three modes that can be selected after fully pushing the tailcap switch to power on: 1) full bright, 2) dim, 3) strobe. You select the mode by half-clicking the tailcap switch again. The strobe is about 3 flashes per second. This may be a Romisen RC-T7. Is well-made. Machining is very good and the matte black finish is good. LED is the Cree MC-E, which has 4 light chips per die, a bit like a quad core CPU having 4 cores.
Light seems about as bright as my 200 lumen Fenix TK11, but has a larger hotspot. Remember that lumens is intensity over area, so a light that has the same intensity over a 4 times larger hotspot will have 4 times the lumens, but won't be any brighter within the same area of the hotspot. But the hotspot will be larger. The larger hotspot may have some minor practical benefits in real world use.
I'm using it with 2 UltraFire 3000 mAh 18650 protected Lithium ion cells. Will also work with 4 CR123A or RCR123, etc. Has a removable tail section for use with 3 CR123s, making a shorter light with a shorter run time. IMO 2 x 18650 is the way to go for maximum battery capacity and run time. The larger format is much larger than a standard 2 cell 18650 (2 cell 123A) light. It's almost twice as long and the high heat head is almost twice as wide, so it's bulkier and may be less practical to carry.
