I discovered Brite Strike while searching to replace my existing incandescent Mini Maglite. The primary application is a tactical light to use in conjunction with a pistol for home defense (Harries technique). But now I carry this thing with me everywhere! It is an incredibly durable and well crafted light that is small enough to fit in just about any pocket. Any yes - it is VERY bright! Nobody is going to want to stick around with this thing shining in their eyes. Don't let the price keep you away ... this thing is worth every penny.

Strobe Motion Activated Alarm and Door Chime with Remote Review

Strobe Motion Activated Alarm and Door Chime with Remote
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This alarm is sensitive and the remote has to be aimed directly at it to arm/disarm or change from alarm to chime. There is a 10 second delay from the time the alarm is triggered and the time the siren sounds. Since this is enough time for an intruder to be down the hallway and into our bedroom, I emailed Amazon to see if the delay could be modified. Since Amazon didn't sell the item to me they wouldn't answer my question but gave me the email address and phone numbers of the seller and manufacturer. After repeated emails to both that went unanswered and numerous phone calls that were not answered, I finally sent the alarm back.

When ordering this product, no where does is state that this is not a smoke detector. You have to have a current smoke detector in use and this product works in tandem with it. Very misleading.

I bought this doorbell for my husband for Christmas who complained that he couldn't hear the doorbell while cleaning fish with the electric knife in our basement.
The light is great as it has a real nice 'strob' brightens to it as it flashes off and on, this he always can see without even turning his head-even though we placed it on a wall off to the side of his bench. We just love the sound of those chimes! Installing is a breeze.
This is an excelent product that works well, for a very cheap price

Strobe Motion Alarm and Chime with Remote Review

Strobe Motion Alarm and Chime with Remote

The Strobe Motion Alarm is an excellent alarm for use in areas where a portable or temporary installation is needed (such as rental apartments).
The detector is sensitive, and quickly detects motion in the protected area. The alarm is LOUD, and the flashing strobe is bright. The remote arms and disarms the alarm with the push of a single button.
I have used this alarm for about a year, and haven't experienced any false alarms.
As portable alarms go, this is one of the best!

Kikkerland FL12 Snap-On LED Flashlight with Strobe Setting Review

Kikkerland FL12 Snap-On LED Flashlight with Strobe Setting
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have this kikkerland unit, a 6 LED unit, and a pak-light ultra. My likes... it has a strobe. My dislikes..... no hi/lo setting, pops off the battery too easily, feels like a cheaper product than the other two, the switch slides too easily (I have found it "ON" in my bag several times. I do keep one in my emergency kit just for the strobe ability, but not as a serious flashlight. These are fine for the kiddies in a power outage but the 6 LED models or the pak-light are sturdier. The Pak-light seems to be the most solid of the 3 (although its also the most expensive). I use the pak-light for camping/hiking/emergencies, The 6 LED model stays in my glovebox, and this kikkerland stays in the pocket of my pack (not on a battery), as a strobe or back-up to my pak-light.

Princeton Tec Aqua Strobe Light Review

Princeton Tec Aqua Strobe Light
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a handy little emergency strobelight. It's completely waterproof, lightweight, and even floats.
There are a couple minor annoying things about it:
1. The instructions tell you that it is very very bad to install the battery with the wrong polarity. Makes sense, but then they never tell you which is the right way (the + end with the little knob needs to be pointed up) Note that the instructions also say it's bad to mix old and new batteries- which doesn't mean much here as the product takes but a single AA battery (included).
2. The instructions do not tell you how to turn it on (screw the top down for on, loosen it a tad for off).
3. The lanyard is too darn fat to fit in the hole at the end.
This works well as a replacement for a flare for automobile use, or for location if you get lost. Many use it for dive safety.

DISCO FEVER Mini Strobe Light with 5 Color Filters Review

DISCO FEVER Mini Strobe Light with 5 Color Filters

We do pajama dance parties with our kids and I thought this would be a fun addition. It works well if you are pretty much in front of it (which is fine for us.) However, The box says that you need to have an electrician change the bulb. That pretty much means this will end up in the trash when it burns out. I'd be curious as to how long that will be!

Nebo Redline Tactical Flashlight Strobe S.O.S 220 Lumen #5581 Review

Nebo Redline Tactical Flashlight Strobe S.O.S 220 Lumen #5581
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If there was any lingering question, this Redline flashlight from Nebo is a testament to how far LED technology has come. Gone are the days when LED flashlights put out only a fraction of the light of incandescents. This compact flashlight, 4 3/8 inches long and 1 3/8 inches in diameter, puts out 220 lumens of white lights and has 5 modes. You can use it at 220 lumens, 110 lumens, 22 lumens, SOS mode, or strobe mode. The SOS (Morse code) and strobe might be handy for emergencies if you carry the flashlight in the car. At 220 lumens, the flashlight produces an amazing amount of light that can illuminate my entire living room. The 22-lumen mode is good when you want to find your way without disturbing everyone around you with a blinding light.
The Redline also has a 4x adjustable beam, which is adjusted by turning a bezel near the front of the light. Nebo claims that the focused spotlight will shine up to 150 yards. It has a nifty ring around the front that glows red when the light is on. I can't see that it serves any purpose, but it looks nice. The button to turn the flashlight on and off and to change modes is on the back. The button glows in the dark -at least enough so that you can see it. Unfortunately, the button is recessed, which makes it impossible to depress it with my thumb while holding the flashlight. If I want to turn the light on with one hand, I have to depress the button with my index finger. This might not work if you have big hands. A button that protrudes would be preferable.
When you first turn the flashlight on, it is in the bright 220-lumen mode. You cycle though the modes by turning the flashlight on and off in rapid succession. This can be inconvenient. In order to get the flashlight to come back on in bright mode, you have to wait about 15 seconds. If you turn the flashlight off and on again before that, it will come on in the next mode in the succession rather than the full light. Also, if you tend to use the flashlight in a less-light mode, as might be appropriate if you use it primarily in your home, you have to cycle through every time to find your mode. You can't set it to come on in the mode you use most often. That and the recessed power button detract somewhat from the Redline's ease of use.
The flashlight takes 3 AAA batteries (included). It will last 4 hours at 220 lumens, 8 hours at 110 lumens, 15 hours at 22 lumens, and up to 72 hours in strobe or SOS mode on full battery power. The body is waterproof and made of anodized aircraft-grade aluminum. It does hold the temperature around it well, so it can get pretty cold or hot in your glove compartment. The back end of the flashlight is magnetic, which allows hands-free illumination in some situations. The LED bulb will last 110,000+ hours. At first I thought the Redline might be overpriced, but it is well-made, offers a lot of options and a lot of light. In my experience, most compact flashlights last only a few years. If the Redline proves itself more durable, it will have been well worth the money.
