(More customer reviews)My boy needed a science fair project so we bought this stobe light kit to view the motion of all kinds of things that move too fast for the normal eye to see. The kit was easy to put together with great step-by-step instructions and nothing missing. It took about an hour to construct...and worked without hitch after we turned it on. I have to admit, that was a big surprise, we're not expert at constructing anything.
The brightness can be improved by adding more led's, but in a dark room or a box with a window, things show up well. The adjustable strobe speed works great and there are plenty of tips on how to "tweak" the output for even better results.
My son's favorite experiment was looking at a plucked guitar string where you could literally see its vibration in slow motion. He also got a huge kick watching his hand and arm deform when we put a deep massaging vibrator underneath it and then turned on the strobe. Very weird to watch - almost alien looking. Lot's of fun for everyone (including the adults) and certainly, the price was right.
