(More customer reviews)I now own about 10 small tactical lights, using CR123 batteries and AA batteries (and other batteries too). This EagleTac P20A2 MkII is an amazing piece of work. Very nice machine work, it feels like a high-quality piece of gear when you hold it. The brightness is terrific, especially for AA batteries. The UI (user interface) is one of the best out there, in my opinion - tight head is turbo, loose head is high, then a quick press activates strobe (but strobe can be disabled), a quick tighten/loosen of head when on will enter other modes.
I now keep my EagleTac P20A2 MkII on my nightstand beside my bed. It is the perfect light for 'things that go bump in the night'.
If you buy one of these, make sure it is the 'MkII' variety. Also, I highly recommend the OP (orange peel) reflector, versus the SMO (smooth). The OP reflector spreads out the hotspot, you lose a little throw, but the light is more functional for close work.
