I wanted something that I could carry my laptop AND Canon SLR with a couple lenses & flash; without being totally stiff and awkward to carry at my side like most of the camera/ laptop specific bags out there. This bag fits that need. It is quite spacious, I can easily fit my laptop & camera kit plus other misc items **note that there are NO camera specific pockets. I keep my camera & lenses in soft cases to protect them from bumps, dirt & scratches**.
The bottom and green part of the bag is rubberized so if I get caught in the rain or set the bag in a puddle I won't have to worry too much. The pockets on the sides easily accommodate a water bottle or canned beverage.
The strap seems a little thin and is not removable/ replaceable so we'll see how well that holds up.
I would have LOVED it if this bag was convertible to a backpack....but for a messenger-type bag I am happy with this purchase.
